DESCRIPTION

Astragalus is used in traditional Chinese herbalism to strengthen the Wei Ch'i or "defensive energy" or as we know it, the immune system.* The Astragalus Root is also high in polysaccharides which have been shown to enhance the normal activity of the immune system, particularly NK and T cell function and increased interferon production.* Astragalus also has been shown to promote vascular health.*
