DESCRIPTION
Saw Palmetto is a small palm tree with large leaves and large deep red- black berries. The Native Americans use the berries for food and also to
support men’s health.* Saw Palmetto has other traditional uses for supporting the bronchial system.* In modern research, the fat-soluble extract has been shown both to inhibit the conversion of testosterone to dihydro-testosterone (DHT), and to block the binding of DHT to prostate cells, thus supporting prostate health.* It also promotes normal inflammation.* Saw Palmetto berry contains an oil with a variety of fatty acids (capric, caprylic, caproic, lauric, palmitic, and oleic acid and their ethyl esters) and phytosterols (beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol cycloartenol, lupeol, lupenone, and 24-methyl-cycloartenol). It also contains volative oil,
resin, and tannins.
