DESCRIPTION

CMO (cetyl myristoleate) ) is a compound (an ester of a fatty acid) that is naturally found in sperm whale oil, the oil glands of the male beaver, bovine bone marrow, and Swiss albino mice. Although CMO itself is not an essential fatty acid, it is comprised of an Omega 3 fatty acid and belongs to the fatty acid class of compounds. The Omega 3 fatty acids are natural nutritional compounds that are found in some cold water fish and are known to promote normal inflammation.* Much of CMO's activity is thought to be attributed to its classification as a fatty acid.* CMO has been tested in a 32 week placebo controlled trial involving 431 people. The people were divided into three groups with one group taking CMO, the second group taking CMO and a glucosamine support formula, and the third group taking a placebo. Group 1 saw a 63.3% improvement, Group 2 saw an 88.6% improvement, and Group 3 saw only a 16.6% improvement.
